Ginko Biloba

Extracts of Ginkgo leaves contain flavonoid glycosides and terpenoids (ginkgolides, bilobalides) and have been used in medicines for decades. Ginko has been shown to be effective in treating dimentia. Otyher studies have shown that Ginko can signigficantly imrprove attention in healthy people. In one study, the effect of Ginko was measured almost immediately after taking it and peaked approximately 2.5 hours after intake. It is believed by some that Ginko's effect on memory is attributable to its inhibitory effect on norepinephrine reuptake.

Pre-clinicle results on mice suggest that Ginko may be a suitable treatment for Alzheimer's disease. A study in 2006 found that 160 mg of ginko extract as effective as 5 mg of  the cholinesterase inhibitor donepezil in humans.

A 2010 study found Ginko effective at treating mild to moderate dimentia at the dose of 240 mg per day.

Hampshire Labs, Inc. manufactures and sells Ginko Biloba at the recommended dosage of 150 mg per day. Visit Hampshire Labs for more information or to purchase. All of Hamsphire Labs branded products are natural and safe herbal supplements.

Ginko works great. I've been taking it for years.

No doubt it helps with memory and just my overall ability to focus mentally. I have a hard time with extended focus when I've stopped taking it for awhile.
